In response to Beth's comment on my blog . . . here are a couple of design ideas that I have done in my house. I love to take old junk or unique items and make them into usable items. I took an old bottle holder and hung it horizontally to hang jewelry from.
I also took an old screen and added knobs to it. The chicken wire screen works great for earrings and pins. As you can see, I have a lot of jewelry (that's an understatement)!
This is an old door that was cut off above the doorknob. I bought this at the Buffalo Nickel (a great place to find unique stuff). It was already painted black which worked great with my other decor. I made this wreath 2 Christmas' ago and haven't taken it down since. I love the contrast of it against the black.
