craZy monday

This morning I went & met my running buddies at 7am for a 4.5 mile run.  After the run, I grabbed my water & phone out of the car.  We girls were cooling down, stretching & talking.  I checked my phone & saw THREE missed calls from Jake.  I knew something was up & probably not good.  I called Jake; Lily had fallen & probably needed stitches.  I had the SUV with the car-seats.  I jetted home & we headed to Urgent Care.  The accident happened when Lily was running full speed from the dining room to the kitchen.  She ended up running into the corner of her wooden kitchen.  She had a big deep gouge in her eyebrow & a nice sized bruise on her cheek.

The doctor decided to use glue, rather than stitches (apparently 2 year olds don't sit still for stitches - go figure).  Lily did great until Jake & I had to hold her down for the glue part.  She screamed & screamed & kept telling us "all done."  Poor girl.  This afternoon she is back to her normal self: talkative, active, playing.  So thankful that she is okay & it wasn't any worse.

Lily OR Ella

It is SO much fun having TWO girls
...born at the same season (June 13 & May 31)
...wearing the same clothes.

Lily at 6 weeks.

Ella at 8 weeks...and the dress barely fit.
Ella will only be wearing it once.

I love you Jacob Taylor Flaming.
Thank you for being a wonderful, thoughtful, giving, loving, leading & caring husband.
Thank you for being an amazing father to our TWO sweet girls.

family vacation

We just got back from TWO weeks of vacation in MN & WI.  The airplane rides were not so great...delays upon delays...lack of sleep.  Our motto was "better late than never."  Here are some of the highlights from the trip:

BACHELORETTE PARTY

Bride to Be - my sister Lindsay

BRIDAL BRUNCH

PEDICURES

REHEARSAL DINNER

THE WEDDING OF LINDSAY & CHRIS - Friday, July 13, 2012
Unfortunately, I took very few pictures.  I was too busy corralling two girls to carry a camera too.  I can't wait to see the professional pictures.

Lots of time with Grandpa & Grandma Tuttle

Como Zoo with Grandpa & Grandma & Auntie Em

Tricycles & Sprinklers

Sleep, sleep & more sleep

 Grandpa Flaming's Tractor

Photo Shoot by Sheer Joy Images

On June 9, we had Ella's newborn photo shoot done by our sweet friend Joy at Sheer Joy Images.  We also did some family pictures & individual shots of Lily.  Lily turned 2 later that week.  We LOVE how the pictures turned out.  Here are some of our favorites:

Wetterlunds in Wilmington

Our dear sweet friends were in town the week of July 4th.  We LOVED catching up with them.  We were even lucky enough to snag them for not just one, but TWO meals.  We miss them.

4th of July & a shed update

Happy 4th of July from our two little sparklers.

Lily actually wore this same outfit HERE...not until September.  Our little Ella may turn out to be a chunk!

I've realized (thanks to Anna) that I haven't posted some recent SHED pictures.  Jake has basically finished the pallets on two of the walls.  He just has the door wall left.  More recently he has been working on the flooring.  Jake ripped down two FREE wooden bookshelves into strips.  He is using them for the wood flooring.

Jake has also been working on redoing a Foosball table that he found by the side of the road.  He is redoing it using....wait for it...pallets. Jake posted a before picture on facebook.

Jake also built a workbench & hung peg board above it. Eventually there will be cabinets below the workbench.

Plugging away at our beautiful shed.
