Friends

Some dear friends were in Surf City this weekend and we met up on Saturday afternoon. We spent time at the beach and enjoyed dinner out together. Such a fun time catching up. What a gift this friendship has been over the years!

First Day of School 2023-2024

We went back EARLY this year (Monday, August 7) but we are ready to get at it.

Tie Dye

A last hurrah of summer was TIE DYE. Back in 2019, we did tie dye. The kit I ordered actually had 2 sets so I put the second set in an old ice cream bucket and saved it. This spring, I remembered that I had it and decided we had to do it again this summer.  All the shirts have been outgrown and Benny currently wears the shirts Ella did in 2019.  We grabbed some white t-shirts, sweatshirts, tanks and shorts from thrift stores and we each did a couple of items. It's been fun seeing how they turned out.

Unfortunately, our summer is coming to a close. We had a super short summer this year: school was out June 9, then MN trip, then the big girls went to church camp. That was June. July started with our week in Surf City to celebrate the 4th, followed by Kids Week at our church, the next week the Lily & Ella had a morning volleyball camp, this week is volleyball tryouts and meet the teacher. Here we are in August. School starts on Monday, August 7. Yowza - that flew bye! The good news is we packed in some fun these last couple of weeks and we will be out May 24, 2024.
