Benjamin Lee, N I N E

I am tempted to type this every single birthday that each of our kids have.  How? How are they currently 7, 9, 11 and 13? It seems like just yesterday we received the call and had Benny in our arms within an hour. We can't imagine our family without him. What a gift each of our children are to us.

We had a full week with volleyball games, practices, community group, etc., so we celebrated throughout the week.

Dinner at Islands (Benny's pick) on Tuesday night.

Benny requested "homemade" donuts for his birthday breakfast so we made it happen. He even helped!

We should've done a video. After we sang "Happy Birthday," Benny blew out the candle on his powdered donut. Powered sugar went across the table. It was hilarious.

After breakfast Benny opened gifts and then headed off to school. My favorite gift was a small bag that I let him know I had searched high & low for these treasures. What was in it? A-L-L the legos and toys that have gone through the wash (in his pockets) since end of June. I threw away the baggies and wrappers. His face was priceless. Lost treasures!

Did you see Benny's cake that all the kid's designed, made & decorated together? So fun!

Happy 9th Birthday B E N N Y!
