Father's Day 2020

We celebrated THIS guy today and all weekend.

Father's Day Breakfast: sausage potato egg bake, orange zest scones, oranges and coffee.

Gifts and cards after breakfast.

Later we enjoyed lunch OUT AT PT's Grille, Jake's pick!

The rest of the day was enjoyed at the pool and spending time with friends and family. We are so thankful for Jake and all he is to our family. He is an amazing father and we really know he is the BEST DAD EVER.

Lily Anne, T E N

Somehow we have a TEN year old! I really can't believe how quickly these TEN years have gone. Lily loves art and reading. She is very creative. She loves to swim, skateboard and go for bike rides. She is a leader. She is not afraid to try new things. She has grown up and matured so much this past year.

We have told our girls that they can choose to get their ears pierced when they turn 10. Lily has been counting down the days, we went ahead and started the birthday festivities, on Monday, with ear piercing.

We started off her actual birthday morning with opening presents.

Birthday breakfast: waffle iron french toast

Happy 10th Birthday, Lily Anne!

Unfortunately, we are having a lot of rain right now so were not able to do a few of Lily's favorite outdoor activities like the beach and pool. However we had a fun rainy day. Lily was able to talk with some of our family who called with birthday messages. We video chatted with Grandpa & Grandma Tuttle. We also FaceTimed our sweet friends in Africa - that was fun! Lily was sung to from NC, MN, WI, and Africa today!
We did enjoy a quick trip around our park before lunch to get out and get some exercise. After lunch we went to Claire's so Lily could spend some of her birthday money on earrings. We usually let the kids pick a movie to watch on their birthday. Lily picked Princess Bride and we watched it in the afternoon since it was a rainy day. We also played Dutch Blitz, a birthday gift from Auntie Bek, multiple times today and did some coloring.

Birthday dinner: at ISLANDS

Birthday dessert: 3 ingredient cookies (banana, oats, chocolate chips) with Lewis Farms banana ice cream in between - YUM!

Happy 10th Birthday, Lily Anne!

School's OUT for Summer

We just finished out our last 3 days of school - Praise Jesus!
Lily had one more Flat Teacher's project.

WEDNESDAY, June 3 was our final day of school. I am so proud of these kids. They adjusted well to all being at home since March 13. Lily & Ella have been mostly self-motivated and eager to learn. Of course, we have had some rough moments, but overall they have worked so hard and with a good attitude! Benny and Wren played well while Mom was busy helping the girls with their lessons and schoolwork. They finished out their "k4 at home" a few weeks ago.

4th & 2nd grade COMPLETE

The last "Drawing with Miss Welsh" class.
All my kids have really enjoyed these weekly art lessons. It's been so fun!

Wednesday afternoon we went thru the Krispy Kreme drive thru for a FREE donut for National Donut week (National Donut day is Friday) and then headed to the pool to swim for the afternoon. This was our SCHOOL's OUT PARTY!

FRIDAY all Bridge Kids and Bridge Students were invited to Boombalatti's for a FREE ice cream to celebrate the end of the school year. So sweet and thoughtful of our church to do this - we love The Bridge Church.

When asked about finishing the school year, at home, this verse came to my mind.
"This is the LORD's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes."
Psalm 119:23
