Old Friends are THE BEST Friends

Aili was in MN for a short visit (house hunting for their July move to MN!). We squeezed some time in to meet for coffee on Sunday night. It's always great getting together with these girls.

LOVE THEM! Actually, the Starbucks barista had to ask us to leave. We didn't realize that it was after 10pm, when they closed.

They also refused to take our picture, so we found some teenage guys outside to snap one for us.

Aili is due August 24!

My Wedding Band

Jake & I picked out wedding bands when I was in NC in May. We both ordered each other's bands online. While Jake was here this past weekend, we tried them on. Jake surprised me & bought me a band with diamonds in it. It's gorgeous! Jake's band was a little tight. My engagement ring is (and has been) a half size too big, but I have been too possessive to take it somewhere to get it resized. :) I didn't want to not have it for a week. I finally gave in & had my engagement ring resized along with his wedding band.

The GREAT news is, I went to Jared,

and they did the resizing overnight!

Here is a picture of my wedding band. It's gorgeous! I love it! I'm dying to wear it--okay, so i did wear it on Thursday, when Jake was here & this past Wednesday while my ring was getting resized. Now it is in the box, in my closet, waiting for July 26.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is my Dad's 56th Birthday!

We celebrated by going out for breakfast at Henry's Cafe (169 & 63rd). They had REALLY REALLY good cinnamon rolls. I then went to work. We had supper at Dad & Mom's house & had Dad's favorite-hamburger's. We also played bocce ball after opening gifts.

My Mom's peony bushes are in full bloom. They are gorgeous! Too bad they won't be in season around the wedding. Mom has peony arrangements in every room & on the patio.

Church Bridal Shower

Saturday was my FBC Bridal Shower at the Stuckey's house. Jake flew up here late Wednesday night. Emily flew in Friday afternoon and my grandparents drove up Friday afternoon. It was a really great weekend to spend with family & friends.

I opened gifts for an hour & a half straight. I got a LOT of nice gifts. Everyone was so generous. Jake & I are truly blessed.

My Happy Place ;)

Kristina gave me some GREAT tickets to Saturday night's Twins game vs. the Yankees. Thanks, Kristina! Yes, Lindsay & I stayed for all 12 innings. It was an eventful game on & off the field.

First of all, I almost got hit with a foul tip--it was inches from my head. Then, a crazy Yankees fan (in our section) was ejected from the game. And while we were sitting in the metrodome enjoying the game, my car was sitting at home, in our driveway, getting pummeled with hail.

Now "The Grape" is "The Raisin."
