family adventure session with COLIE PHOTOS

Back on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in April, April 3 to be exact, Nicole from Colie Photos came to our home to shoot a family adventure session.  We planned to do some things that our family loves to do: play games, read books, play outside, hunt for rolly-pollies and lizards, swing, mix up cookies, sing, and just hang out all together. Nicole captured some great pictures of our family doing those things.  Although we LOVE them all, here are a few of our favorites. (Okay, maybe more than a few. It's so hard to limit since this blog is also our family photo album.)

I would highly recommend a family adventure session if you are a family with lots of littles. This was THE PERFECT shoot for us.  It is nearly impossible to have all 4 littles (and sometime 2 adults) look at the camera at the same time.  This was just perfect, or did I already mention that?  It was relaxed, no pressure and fun! Nicole hung out with us for almost 3 hours.  She was also patient and gracious with our crazy family.

FULL hands, FULL heart

Thank You, Nicole!

Mother's Day 2016

I am so thankful that these 4 kiddos call me mommy.

Mother's Day morning Lily came to our bedroom & READ me the card that she made all by herself.
I love it and I will cherish it forever.
"You are filled with joy.
You are patient.
You are love.
You are playful.
You are pretty."
It is also amazing that the many things that I think I am severely lacking in, or completely failing at, are the things that she said she loves about me. That is all God's grace!

Jake & the girls brought home bagels, from Panera, for breakfast. Thanks leftover gift card! I also enjoy a large STACK of cards and artwork made by the kids.

After church, we enjoyed a family lunch at Sweet & Savory. We headed home for naps and after naps hit the beach.  It was a great family day.

Being a mom is such a gift.
