Some of our sweetest friends are back in Wilmington for the summer and we were able to catch up with them over brunch at the beach house. Lots of stories were told of their recent adventures - so fun! They even stayed to jump waves with the kids for a few hours.

Father's Day 2022

Happy Father's Day to one of (if not) THE BEST Dad's!

Today would have been my Dad's 70th Birthday.

It is also Father's Day.

And today is 6 months since Dad/Grandpa passed.

Dad loved ice cream and donuts. What did he love even more than ice cream & donuts? Doing it with the grand-kids.  Every time we visited, he would take the kids to pick out donuts at least one morning. He would also, every night while we are in MN visiting, get out the tubs of ice cream and scoop cones and bowls for everyone. So today, and every year on his birthday, we will be getting donuts or ice cream, in honor of Grandpa. We love him so much and miss him incredibly. He was so great, so kind, so fun, so loving, such a role model.

She did it AGAIN

Remember TWO years ago, when Ella donated 8" of hair? Well, she's been growing it out and she did it again TODAY! So proud of her and her generosity. Once again, we will donate it to Children with Hair Loss who gives the wigs to kids free of charge. Check them out HERE.

Lily Anne, T W E L V E

Goodness, Lily turned TWELVE today.

She wanted to make her own birthday breakfast - monkey bread.

She opened gifts while it baked.

We've learned from past experience, candles melt in the hot monkey bread...

Unfortunately, this is all the pictures we took today. We hit the pool for most of the afternoon and celebrated her birthday with dinner at Bdobo Mongolian Grill. One of her favorite places closed - FLAMING AMY'S BOWL. Good friends recommended Bdobo as a close second to FAB. We enjoyed it and Lily was happy!
 

First Day of Summer

Today, we had a great first day of summer break. We started off our day with pancakes and Proverbs. We are planning to go over the Proverb of the day each morning after breakfast this summer. We played, we cleaned, we ran errands, we did some shopping with birthday money. In the afternoon the kids attended Lego Club at our local library. The only instructions were to build something to catch aliens. They had a lot of fun!
