Our Big Trip - Kijabe Kenya AFRICA - post 2 of 3

Our last big leg of the trip was another overnight flight from Paris to Nairobi.

Our Big Trip - Kijabe Kenya AFRICA - post 2 of 3

We landed in Nairobi on Tuesday morning, April 12. We were so excited to see our friends, the Meshaw's! We had a couple hour car ride from the Nairobi airport to Kijabi, where the Meshaw's live. They are on staff at Rift Valley Academy and have served there since fall of 2015.

These SEVEN kids did a lot of playing and exploring.

Another set of our Wilmington friends used to live in this home.

Coffee & Treats at Kijabe Kahawa

Thursday through Saturday we were on SAFARI at Mara West. We came back Saturday late afternoon and then Sunday was Easter. There was a service for upper & lower station followed by a brunch and Easter egg hunt. That afternoon all the kids died eggs.

Monday evening we went over to a friend's home, the Suit's, for dinner. They have a pizza oven and that was so fun to make our own pizzas.

Tuesday morning we went to Joel's goat farm. This was really fun to see.  The Meshaw family is partnering with Joel and his family to raise goats. They have already served a few of the goats, which have had babies or are currently pregnant.  They use the goat milk for Joel's family and to sell. They even had some on week old puppies the kids could hold.

A Tuesday morning hike

The missing checked bag, FULL of the kids clothes, arrived Tuesday afternoon. It came just a few hours before we had to head to the airport.  Thanks to the Meshaw kids for sharing their clothes, toys and space while we were visiting.

Titchie Swot - little learner

We flew out of Nairobi on Tuesday, April 19. We had an overnight flight Nairobi to Paris, then a day flight Paris to Atlanta. Followed by Atlanta to Wilmington. We landed in Wilmington on Wednesday, April 20 at 6pm. We were pretty tired and ready to climb into our own beds.
